‘Manusavi’ is a loan scheme, offered in collaboration with the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) and the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) which provides loans for Sri Lankan Migrant Workers.
The Manusavi Loan Scheme is a specialised financing solution designed to support Sri Lankan migrant workers in collaboration with the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) and the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE). This scheme provides financial assistance for essential needs such as business investments, housing, vehicle purchases, and education, ensuring that Sri Lankan workers abroad can achieve financial stability and long-term security for their families.
Low Interest Rate – Competitive fixed rate of 8.00% p.a.
Flexible Loan Amount – Borrow up to LKR 2 million.
Convenient Repayment – Repay over a period of up to 3 years.
Multiple Loan Purposes – Use funds for business expansion, home construction or renovation, land or vehicle purchases, and children’s education.
Foreign Currency Remittance Requirement – Loan repayments must be made via inward foreign remittances to a Personal Foreign Currency Account (PFCA).
Power of Attorney (POA) for Convenience – Nominate an immediate family member to manage the loan while working abroad.
Joint Application Facility – Option to apply jointly with a family member.
To qualify for the Manusavi Loan Scheme, applicants must:
Be a Sri Lankan citizen employed under a valid foreign employment contract for at least one year.
Be registered with the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE).
Open a Personal Foreign Currency Account (PFCA) for remittance and loan repayment.
Nominate an immediate family member through a Power of Attorney (POA) to manage the loan in Sri Lanka.
